What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in its visitors’ browsers so that it can find them again on later visits. The same can be done with the browser’s storage, or with techniques that recognise a device from its characteristics without storing anything (fingerprinting): the rules apply to these tools too (Italian Data Protection Authority, Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools, 10 June 2021, paragraphs 3 and 4).
Italian law requires consent before information is stored on the device of a website visitor, or information already stored there is read, except where this is strictly necessary to provide the service the visitor has asked for (Section 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code, Legislative Decree No 196/2003).
What this website does
The pages contain small scripts written by us (in JavaScript): they open the menu on phones, check the form fields before the form is sent, show the cookie notice and, as you scroll down the page, make some blocks appear and show a shadow under the page header. Only if you accept the statistics is the Google Analytics script added.
If you arrive from another website, for example from a search engine, one of these scripts takes the name of that website from your browser and adds it to the link to the ‘Book a meeting’ page: this way, if you send us a request, we know which website you started from. The name is not saved on your device: the website’s server receives it when you open the contact page, and it stays with your request only if you send it. How we use this information is explained in the privacy policy.
Only the restricted area for the people who manage the website, which visitors do not enter, uses technical cookies (strictly necessary for the site to work) set by WordPress, the software the website is built with, to recognise who has signed in.
Some pages have links to other websites, for example to a video on YouTube: if you open them, you leave this website and that website’s rules apply.
Visit statistics, only if you accept
If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, to count visits and see which pages are useful: the pages viewed, the website you came from, the type of device and browser, the language, the approximate country and city, and when you start filling in the form and send a request, without the details you enter. We do not use Google’s advertising features, and we do not send Google your name, email address or any other data that identifies you.
For visits from the European Union, Google Analytics does not log or store your IP address: it uses it only to derive the approximate country and city, and then deletes it. The statistics are kept in Google Analytics for 14 months. The data may also be processed by Google LLC in the United States, with the safeguards explained in the privacy policy.

How to change your choice
The first time you open a page of this website, a notice asks whether you accept Google Analytics cookies. If you reject them or close the notice with the X, we do not use them. We remember your choice for 6 months; we ask you again sooner only if we change the cookies or this policy.
You can change your choice at any time via ‘Cookie settings’ at the bottom of every page: if you withdraw your consent, we remove the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
